White House Super Intelligence Force asserts AI incident notification and remediation obligations
On October 9, Axios published a statement attributed to White House Super Intelligence Force leaders asserting that AI model providers must immediately disclose model incidents, cooperate with authorities and affected systems, and remediate harm; the statement described reporting as a national-security obligation. On October 10, vice chair Scott Kupor reinforced the responsibility of model developers during a Fox News interview while arguing against a general slowdown in AI development and for delaying individual unsafe product releases. These documented public statements do not establish a new generally enforceable statute or rule, penalties, reporting procedures or observed compliance.
