Microsoft announces Azure Maia 300 and plans 2027 inference deployment

Microsoft announced its Maia 300 inference system on 12 October 2026, targeting sustained agentic, long-context and latency-sensitive inference. The company says Maia 200 already serves production workloads while Maia 300 production deployment and multi-gigawatt expansion are planned from 2027.
