UK announces preparedness for serious autonomous AI incidents

On 12 October the UK government announced work by AISI and NCSC to prepare for serious autonomous-agent incidents, expansion of government AI-assisted cyber defence pilots and consideration of incident/near-miss reporting in future cyber-security measures. Existing pilots reportedly helped identify and address over 1,000 vulnerabilities. Legislative possibilities are not enacted law and government outcome figures are government-reported.
