Supabase acquires Turso to expand agent-oriented database infrastructure

Supabase announced it is acquiring Turso, whose SQLite-derived architecture is designed for very large numbers of lightweight databases loaded and suspended on demand. Both companies explicitly connect the acquisition to agent workloads and cheap, rapidly provisioned isolated databases. Supabase's workload figures are company-reported and do not establish that every agent requires its own database.
