CERN and Mistral sign statement of intent on AI for collider physics

On 15 October 2026 CERN publicly confirmed a signed statement of intent with Mistral to explore a foundation model for collider-physics research. It does not document a trained or deployed Large Physics Model, a funded delivery program, or a validated scientific breakthrough. ML had been used by CERN earlier.
